Aries Spears Brutally Body-Shames Lizzo: She Looks Like the Sh-t Emoji!

Over the past three years, Lizzo has emerged as one of the most talented singer-songwriters in modern music.

She’s also the sort of cultural figure that empowers millions of young women who have perhaps never seen someone who looks like them on stage before.

So it’s not surprising that the 34-year-old has attracted a fiercely loyal fan base.

Sadly, like any successful public figure, Lizzo has also attracted quite a few haters, and one of them just made a bafflingly cruel comment about her appearance.

Comedian Aries Spears is well-known for his celebrity impressions and his years on Mad TV.

But for an army of furious Lizzo fans, he’ll forever be remembered as the man who viciously insulted their queen.

In an interview for the “Art of Dialogue” podcast, Spears was asked about Lizzo’s music, and he made the bizarre choice to go on a tirade about her physique.

“I can’t get over the fact she looks like the sh-t emoji,” Spears said.

“She’s a very beautiful girl. She’s got a very pretty face, but she keeps showing her body off. C’mon man.”

Spears went on to concede that he’s not exactly built like Dwayne Johnson, but he explained that the rules are different for men.

“I’m sorry. Listen, I ain’t the most in-shape n—a in the world but I still, when you funny and you got swagger and confidence and you decent looking – I think I’m at least handsome – you get p—y,” the comedian said.

“But a woman that’s built like a plate of mashed potatoes is in trouble.”

At that point, Spears dropped the pretense of “joking” and just went on a fatphobic tirade in which he pretended to be concerned for Lizzo’s health.

“You know what kills me about women is the hypocrisy and the contradiction,” Spears said.

“‘F–k diabetes, f–k heart problems, f–k heart disease, cholesterol. Y’all claim womanhood and about sisterhood and support for your sister, you know, when it comes to that ridiculous s–t,” he continued.

“But if you really gave a f–k, why wouldn’t you go, ‘Black girl, we love your confidence, boo boo, but this ain’t it. This ain’t it.’”

Not surprisingly, Spears’ remarks were not well-received by fans of Lizzo’s.

“Meanwhile, Lizzo is twerking and jumping around onstage while playing a whole ass wind instrument and this man is dealing with labored breathing just sitting and hating,” one person tweeted, according to Hollywood Life.

“It’s not even that Aries Spears being overweight and hideous makes him ineligible to speak on Lizzo. Nobody should be speaking on her body, idc how they look,” another person chimed in.

Lizzo has yet to respond to Spears’ comments, and we doubt she ever will.

It’s never a good idea to feed the trolls, especially in the case of a wannabe coattail-rider like Spears.

And no one knows that better than Lizzo.
