Amy Roloff went home to Michigan this past weekend for a family wedding.
Seems like a pretty basic and harmless thing for someone to do, right?
And yet: The visit to the Little People, Big World star’s native state set off somewhat of an uproar on social media because followers took note of her photos from the event and wondered:
Where the heck is Chris Marek?!?
“In Michigan for just a few days but so worth it to visit with my Dad, be with family and celebrate the marriage of my nephew and wife’s marriage,” Amy wrote as a caption to snapshots from the reception.
She added:
“God is good and I’m so thankful I got to come. Now I’m ready to get back to Chris. Summers not over yet.”
As you can see, Roloff referenced her second husband — to whom Amy got married in August 2021 — but it wasn’t enough to stop curious observers from fearing the romantic worst.
“Amy, where did you leave Chris?” one person asked in the comments section, as if Marek weren’t capable of just hanging out at their home in Oregon by himself.
Another inquired: “Beautiful photos, but where is Chris?”
Roloff didn’t respond to either of these remarks, likely because they’re just so speculative and silly.
For the record, the mother of four remains extremely happy with her spouse, as evidenced by a birthday tribute she posted to Instagram just seven days ago.
“Chris, today I celebrate You. Happy 60th Birthday,” the TLC personality wrote.
“To say you changed my life is an understatement. You let me be me and yet I continue to learn and grow within myself to continue to strive to be my best. You’re my partner today and riding into the sunset.
“You’re my love and my friend.
“You’re thoughtful, have that sarcastic humor that gets me almost every time, you love me, thrive on adventure and new experiences, and just as ok with just hanging out at home with each other.
“You love me just as I am and I love you.”
Concluded Amy at the time:
I love you in my life, my everyday, my moments and I’m thrilled I get to share all of your birthdays with you from here on out. It’s your birthday and I wish for you more.

Amy and Chris got engaged on the three-year anniversary of their first date, which coincided with the former’s birthday back then.
