“There was some loose talk of him taking a year out and learning bass, and then us doing a gig and him coming on stage and dropping the maddest bassline anyone’s ever seen,” he reveals. “But he was too busy, so I was like, ‘One day, I’ll just grab you when you’re not ready and he was like, ‘OK let’s do that.’
