Over the weekend, Teresa Giudice’s brother and sister-in-law snubbed her on her wedding day.
Joe Gorga and Melissa Gorga did not, as they say, save the date.
Apparently, Teresa only had one day’s warning that they would be no-shows to her nuptials.
Did she really send them a wedding bill for their last-minute absence?
We have all known for months that Melissa would not be part of Teresa’s wedding party.
In fact, Melissa found out the same way that the rest of us did — watching Watch What Happens Live.
The decision to ditch the wedding altogether, on the other hand, was last-minute.
Then came the reports that Teresa had exacted the pettiest form of revenge.
Allegedly, she had sent her brother and her sister-in-law a wedding bill.
Last-minute cancelations can be a pain for weddings.
Each guest comes with an attached cost.
But to bill no-shows??
That would be above and beyond.
According to Luis Ruelas, if we believe anything that he says, this is a complete fabrication.
“We would never in a million years ask for money from Joe and Melissa,” he announced in an Instagram comment.
“We are not petty,” he claimed.
Teresa’s new husband then declared that “Joe and Melissa were missed.”
Reports say that they skipped the ceremony after a “blowout fight” with Teresa.
Apparently, there was a rumor about Melissa’s marriage. The impact of this fight extends far beyond Tre and Luis’ nuptials.
For what it’s worth, Teresa’s favored minion Jennifer Aydin also backed up Luis’ denials.
“This is absolutely not true!” she tweeted.
“If there [were] such a ‘bill,’ it would’ve been posted already,” Jennifer argued. “Trust and believe.”
Honestly, it sounds like Jennifer is defending Teresa and only Teresa.
Look at what she tweeted.
She’s effectively saying that Melissa would have posted a pic of any “bill.” That’s her evidence — not that Teresa would never do such a thing.
Apparently, Teresa and Joe are not expected to forgive one another.
For a pair of siblings, that is a huge deal.
It could have consequences for the show, too. They are castmates, after all.
Now, reports are clear that Teresa received one day’s notice that the Gorgas would be skipping out.
That’s last-minute, but it’s not the same as a surprise on the actual day of the wedding.
They weren’t at the rehearsal dinner. Joe made that clear on his Instagram Story. He wrote “Blood doesn’t make you family.”
We don’t know what Teresa said about the Gorgas and their marriage.
Clearly, she did not hold back.
She may have seriously burned bridges with them.
At the same time … remember how we reported that Teresa had secured a deal with Bravo to film her wedding?
It sounds like she definitely got some drama for the special.
We likely won’t see any of this for months, but perhaps the special will share further details.
