Kate described Mark as “very macho” and said that it felt like the shoot “was all about him.” “He had a big entourage. I was just this model,” she added.

When Lauren asked Kate if she felt “objectified,” the model replied, “Yeah, completely. And vulnerable and scared … I think they played on my vulnerability.”

Kate also added that Calvin himself “loved” that she was “young and innocent.”
This isn’t the first time that Kate’s addressed this specific photoshoot. In 2012, she told Vanity Fair that she had a “nervous breakdown” because of the experience.

“It didn’t feel like me at all,” she said. “I felt really bad about straddling this buff guy. I didn’t like it. I couldn’t get out of bed for two weeks. I thought I was going to die.”
Mark has also addressed the photoshoot in recent years — specifically, in an interview with The Guardian circa 2020.

“I think I was probably a little rough around the edges. Kind of doing my thing,” he said upon being told that Kate found the photoshoot to be unpleasant. “I wasn’t very…worldly, let’s say that.”
