When Angelina Pivarnick and Chris Larangeira first got married, the haters said it would never last.
And this case, the haters were absolutely right.
Angelina and Chris were at each other’s throats from the start, and few were surprised to learn that Pivarnick was cheating on Larangeira for the majority of the time they were married.
The current season of Jersey Shore is documenting the early days of Chris and Angelina’s separation, and to say the situation is messy would be putting it very mildly.
Chris has been torpedoing Angelina’s friendships by claiming that she’s responsible for leaking the video of her castmates’ brutal wedding toast, and she’s been telling the whole world that he’s a manipulative liar.
Watching all of this unfold, it seems like these two can’t wait to be officially divorced.
But one strange detail has led fans to conclude that Angeliners is not quite ready to give up on her marriage.
As we learned on last week’s installment of Shore, Angelina still wears her wedding ring.
“I take it off sometimes, but most of the time I wear it,” Pivarnick explained.
“I don’t know, I just feel like I feel more comfortable with it on.”
The revelation came during Angelina’s visit to a church support group.
And the other members of Angelina’s new Catholic clique reacted to the news of her symbolic jewelry in about the same way that most viewers probably did:
“That maybe says something,” one woman remarked.
Angelina’s support group was surprisingly straightforward in their comments.
Pivarnick’s priest, Father Joe, even went to far as to defend Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, who has been Angelina’s number one nemesis this season.
(Okay, maybe her number two nemesis after Chris.)
“Mike, the Situation, he has transformed his life,’ said Father Joe, referencing Mike’s reformation after his tax evasion … um, situation.
“He’s a whole new different person,” the priest continued.
Not surprisingly, Angelina wasn’t having this defense of the man who’s basically made a career out investigating all of her shady shenanigans.
“He’s still the same Mike a little bit,” Angelina said. “Like he’s a s–t stirrer.”
That may be true, but perhaps Mike wouldn’t be doing so much stirring if Angelina’s pot wasn’t so full of messy behavior.
But hey, at least Angelina’s ongoing drama with Mike and Chris is livening up new episodes of Shore, which — let’s face it — had gotten a little dull in recent seasons.
Of course, the real winner in all of this Vinny Guadagnino.
Finally, Angelina has something to obsess over other than her former Staten Island neighbor!
Of course, now that Angelina has turned her attention elsewhere, Vinny will probably realize that he’s been in love with her the whole time!
