Changes are afoot for Amy Slaton.
Or, to be more specific we suppose, changes are on top of her head for Amy Slaton.
Late last week, the 1,000-lb Sisters star uploaded a couple new photos of her newborn son, Glenn, but Amy managed to overshadow the infant this time around.
By dyeing her hair purple!
“Before bed cuddles!” Slaton wrote as a caption to the snapshot below, adding of the photo immediately above:
“Gage wanted to hold glenn. My heart full tonight…”
The TLC personality and her husband, Michael, welcomed their first kid into the world in November 2020; and then Glenn came along just this month.
The reality star’s baby boy arrived on July 5 via c-section… weighing 5 lbs. 11 oz. and measuring 17.5 inches at birth.
“The wait is finally over … Michael and I are happy to announce the birth of our son, Glenn Allen Halterman,” Amy told People Magazine a few weeks ago, adding at the time:
“The delivery was a huge success and now I have both of my miracle boys; our family is complete.”
Slaton worked extremely and unusually hard to create this family, too.
The mother of two qualified for gastric bypass surgery a couple years ago, which enabled her to safely get pregnant.
Previously, Amy had expressed hesitation about returning to the small screen due to her responsibilities as a parent.
But People Magazine broke some amazing news back when it published the news of Glenn’s arrival.
Wrote the outlet at the time, confirming a series renewal:
Fans of 1000-Lb. Sisters will get an inside look at Amy’s pregnancy and motherhood journey as it’s documented on the upcoming fourth season of the TLC show.
“I don’t really want to do another season because I’m pregnant, it’s just a lot. If they cut down my hours I’ll be probably fine,” Amy told The Sun earlier this year.
“Last season I was working every day for weeks, plus renovating a house, plus Gage, plus Tammy, plus my mom.
“It was just a lot last year and I can’t do it.”
By all accounts now, though, Amy (and, we presume, her sibling Tammy) has agreed to terms on a new deal.
As for Slaton’s semi-radical makeover, which she debuted in these new baby pictures?
“Omg! Beautiful!” one commenter gushed.
“Beautiful Family! WTG Amy and Michael!” added another.
“This is SUCHA cute pic,” someone else wrote.
Earlier last week, Amy shared the first photos of Glenn on social media.
In the caption, she gushed about motherhood and the way her older son, Gage, has taken to being a big brother.
“Omg glenn 2 week,” her caption read back then.
“How time fly when ur living out your dreams. Gage is learning to be the best big brother ever. Even watches glenn sleep. Checking on him. #TrulyBlessed.”
