Maya Vander Confirms Selling Sunset Departure, Says “I Just Want to Be Home”

Yes, Maya Vander really is outta there.

For very understandable reasons.

Two days after news broke that Vander would not be returning for Selling Sunset Season 6, the real estate guru herself has confirmed the development.

She’s gone ahead and addressed the professional decision made amid a pair of heart-shattering personal tragedies.

“So… I’m very proud of my Selling Sunset family for getting two more seasons and hopefully [an] Emmy nomination,” the 39-year p;ddwrote via Instagram Story on Thursday, June 23.

“I decided to not go on with the show and it was not an easy decision!

“Being a part of such a successful hit is absolutely amazing and I am so grateful for!”

Those who have been keeping track of Vander over the past several months are well aware of why she made this choice.

In December, she suffered a stillbirth at 38 weeks along.

Then, earlier this week, Vander suffered a miscarriage at 10 weeks along.

“Hug and love the people you care about. Don’t take things for granted!! wrote Vander upon announcing this awful piece of news.

She shares son Aiden, 3, and daughter Elle, 2, with husband David Miller.

“The last few months were not easy,” the reality TV star continued on Thursday.

“Losing a baby at 38 weeks following a miscarriage is just too much to handle.

“I just want to be home with my husband and beautiful kids who I absolutely adore.”

The Netflix personality, who primarily resides in Miami, had been jetting back and forth between her Florida home and Los Angeles for taping.

She opened opening her own agency in Florida this spring (named the Maya Vander Group), which hinted to some observers that she was on her way out.

The mother of two did note a few months ago that “focusing on growing” her real estate firm and joining Compass, a leading nationwide brokerage, is the “right decision for me to move forward.”

While Vander is moving on, however, the show that made her famous isn’t going anywhere for awhile.

Selling Sunset has been renewed for Seasons 6 and 7.

The show follows the realtors at high-end L.A. real estate firm The Oppenheim Group, run by twin brothers Jason and Brett Oppenheim.

The agents there compete to sell multi-million dollar mansions — and get into interpersonal squabbles as well, of course.

Netflix has not yet announced a Season 6 premiere date.
