When she’s not busy destroying cultural artifacts, Kim Kardashian is a family-oriented woman.
Part of the Kardashian-Jenner brand is going all in on the “power of family,” and Kim is no exception.
On Sunday, she posted multiple tributes for Father’s Day.
Despite their deeply awkward recent history, her biggest shoutout went to Kanye West.

Kim Kardashian’s Father’s Day tribute to Kanye West went up on her Instagram Story.
“Thank you for being the best dad to our babies,” she began.
“And,” Kim continued, “loving them the way you do!”

“Happy Father’s Day Ye ,” Kim wrote.
She wrote this holiday shoutout over a photo of Kanye with their four children.
We’re sure that 9-year-old North, 6-year-old Saint, 4-year-old Chicago, and 3-year-old Psalm gave their own tributes in private.

Kim and Kanye have had a deeply complicated relationship.
For years, his impulsive behavior and unwillingness to get proper treatment put a strain on their marriage.
Kanye would humiliate Kim in very public spectacles.

Finally, Kim filed to divorce her husband.
This was difficult for many reasons, but it was necessary.
Kanye did not seem to see things that way, and acted as if in denial for many months.

Kim’s ex’s behavior escalated after her relationship with Pete Davidson went public.
At one point, Instagram temporarily banned Ye.
Kanye also published a music video depicting the kidnapping and live burial of Pete.

Ultimately, Kim and Kanye still share four young children.
With that in mind, they — and particularly, Kim — have tried to put on a brave face.
This Father’s Day overture is an effort to do her best for the sake of their kids.

Kim did not stop there, however.
She also made a post honoring her father, the late, great Robert Kardashian.
“The kids asked me how I would celebrate with you today if you’re all the way up in heaven,” she wrote.

“They gave me the cutest suggestions,” Kim added. “I miss you and love with all my soul.”
Like her siblings, she continues to grieve her late father.
He inspired the entire family, and Kim has followed in his footsteps by pursuing the law.

Divorced families can experience complicated emotions on Father’s Day.
Holidays of any kind make ways in which a family has changed impossible to ignore.
Additionally, events like Father’s Day and Mother’s Day are about relationships between children and parents.

Of course it’s a little weird.
Fortunately, like millions of other children, Kim and Kanye’s kids will adapt to this change.
Clearly, Kim is going to great lengths to help make that happen.
