“You mean to tell me this is how I sound? WooooooooOOooW”
Fans have some questions about Selling Sunset‘s newest star Chelsea Lazkani — and they’re all about her accent.
The British-born real estate agent has been causing confusion with her unique accent, with some fans wondering if it’s actually fake.
But Chelsea, who is originally from London and moved to the United States six years ago, says there’s a simple explanation as to why her accent sometimes varies.
Chelsea admitted that while she’s a “London girl at heart,” her accent is basically a “mish mosh” of all the places she’s lived over the course of her life.

“I’ve lived 3 countries…in 29 years. Born and raised in United Kingdom. Lived in Switzerland and now United States,” Chelsea wrote on Twitter.

And she even proved she could poke a little fun at herself, joking about people who were “irritated” by her accent.
“I almost fainted listening to myself back. You mean to tell me this is how I sound? WooooooooOOooW,” Chelsea joked on Twitter.
If you think you’re irritated with my accent, Imagine me? I almost fainted listening to myself back. You mean to tell me this is how I sound? WooooooooOOooW 😅

She even mentioned the comparisons to Anna Delvey’s accent in Finding Anna, telling critics they basically ruined the show for her.
After all the Anna Delvey accent comparisons, I can’t get through Inventing Anna anymore, it just doesn’t bang the same. Thanks GUYS 😭
