“I’m always getting yelled at, like, ‘Stop squinting!”
Shaina Hurley’s appearance on Love Is Blind Season 2 has many fans asking one question: What’s up with Shaina’s eyes?
In the show, the reality TV star made a habit out of squinting her eyes, and it was so noticeable that people started asking her about it on social media.
After receiving so many questions about her facial expressions, Shaina decided to address the comments and memes on her Instagram story.
“I wear contacts, OK?” Shaina said. “I’ve been squinting ever since I can remember. I’m always getting yelled at, like, ‘Stop squinting! You’re going to get wrinkles.’ That’s why I probably have wrinkles.”
“Every time I go to the eye doctor, they tell me that I don’t have astigmatism, and I’m like, ‘I think I have astigmatism, or my eyes are getting worse,'” she continued.
“And my contacts have been the same. I’m like a -5.25. I am blind, basically, but, love is blind,” Shaina joked.
The hairstylist wrote, “PSA” on her Instagram story.
On the show, Shaina got engaged to fellow contestant Kyle Abrams. The duo later called it quits after their “honeymoon” in Mexico.
Now, Shaina says that she’s in a relationship with someone new.
“I’m actually in a relationship. It’s pretty serious,” she said on the Viall Files podcast last week, adding, “He’s been great throughout the whole situation. I’m happy.”
