Ghanaian artiste manager and entertainment pundit, Bullgod
Ghanaian artiste manager and entertainment pundit, Lawrence Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bullgod, has expressed shock over some recent statements made by Guinness World Records contender, Afua Asantewaa.
Earlier in an interview with Nana Romeo, Afua Asantewaa claimed that during her first sing-a-thon attempt, the only assistance she received from the previous government was medication to cure her sore throat.
She stated that, contrary to claims of receiving cash donations and items from former President Mahamudu Bawumia, she had not been given anything of the sort.
This led to a response from Salam Mustapha, the National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), who disputed Afua Asantewaa’s claim in a Facebook post.
Salam Mustapha stated that he personally handed over GH¢20,000 to Afua’s husband and father on behalf of the former Vice President.
Speaking on this development during a discussion on United Showbiz, aired on Saturday, March 14, 2025, Bullgod described Afua Asantewaa’s allegations of not receiving any donation from the former Vice President as ‘ambiguous’.
He pointed out that her husband was actively involved in managing her team during the first sign-a-thon attempt, making it surprising that she claimed to be unaware of the GH¢20,000 donation made by former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to support her cause.
“It’s surprising that she became aware that GH¢20,000 was donated to his team just when she was about to speak to us. Her husband is the one managing her so as a manager he is the one leading the team. All that she is saying is ambiguous.
“She worked with big personalities in the media space such as Merqury Quaye, Nana Reagan, Geroge Quaye, and others so she should be mindful of her words,” he said.
He also advised her to be more mindful of her words.
Bullgod further cautioned Afua Asantewaa to refrain from making further public comments that could potentially harm her brand, stating that she should consider hiring a professional to speak on her behalf.
“She is a fine lady and should stop talking because what she is saying won’t help her. I would suggest she look for someone to do the talking on her behalf,” he added.
