Set to take effect in 2025, the regulation applies to key commodities such as cattle, soy, palm oil, wood, cocoa, coffee, and rubber, along with their derived products.
The regulation seeks to combat deforestation by imposing strict due diligence obligations on companies, requiring them to prove that their products do not originate from deforested land.
