Preferred by Nature’s event on navigating the European Union Deforestation Regulation

Preferred by Nature, a leading sustainability organisation, is hosting an exclusive event focused on navigating the complexities of the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).

This seminar is designed to cut through the confusion surrounding the new EU Deforestation Regulation and clarify its impact on the cocoa supply chain.

Through engaging presentations and panel discussions, the event aims to address challenges, share practical solutions for compliance, and encourage collaboration among stakeholders.

It provides a platform for industry players to exchange ideas and work towards a sustainable and cooperative future for Ghana’s cocoa sector.

The European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) represents a major shift in global trade policies, requiring businesses to ensure that products sold in the EU are not linked to deforestation.

Set to take effect in 2025, the regulation applies to key commodities such as cattle, soy, palm oil, wood, cocoa, coffee, and rubber, along with their derived products.

The regulation seeks to combat deforestation by imposing strict due diligence obligations on companies, requiring them to prove that their products do not originate from deforested land.
