The Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga, has expressed satisfaction with the 2025 Budget and Economic Policy.

Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, shortly after the Minister of Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, presented the budget, he stated that it reaffirms the government’s commitment to addressing the needs of Ghanaians.

“This is clearly the budget of a government and a party that keeps its promises,” he said, emphasising that nearly every promise made by former President John Dramani Mahama is being fulfilled within the first 120 days.

“This budget is for ‘Makola’ [market] women, this budget is for assembly members, this budget is for girls. This is a budget that delivers solid reforms. This is a budget that is shifting our growth from galamsey-driven growth to real growth,” he added.

Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has presented the first Budget and Economic Policy of the John Dramani Mahama administration in Parliament, in accordance with Article 179 of the 1992 Constitution and Section 21 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921).
