Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams spoke about a phone call placed to talk with one of the former presidents of Ghana. According to Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams, he wanted to talk to the president at that time. However, another person picked up the call and said the president was busy and he would return the call soon.
” I waited for several hours and the call from the President did not come and I decided not to call again”. – Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams stated.
Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams added that the man who picked up the president’s phone at that time was so powerful that some people saw him as the president and went there too. ” I don’t want to mention names so, I will go straight to the point. I realized that one man was so powerful around the one of the past presidents and people rather go to him instead of the president. I called one day to speak to the president, but that man picked the call and told me the president was busy and they will attend to me later. The call never came. One day that man called me and said he is having issues with the president and that, he want me to intervene for him. I told him I will pray for him. We were having two presidents at that time and I don’t want Mahama to be a president who will be controlled”. – Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams stated.
