A window of the Attram De Visser bus smashed
A disturbing video has surfaced online, revealing the aftermath of a violent clash between True Democracy supporters and the Attram De Visser team. The team’s bus was left in ruins, and several players sustained injuries in the attack.
The two teams faced off on Matchday 18 of the Division One League on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Tuba Astro Turf.
Attram De Visser secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory, but tensions escalated after the final whistle. Following the loss, True Democracy supporters allegedly launched an attack on the Attram players.
Reports indicate that heavy security at the stadium prevented any violence during the match. However, as the Attram team bus made its way home, it was ambushed near Ban-Yard.
The attackers allegedly hurled stones at the bus, causing significant damage and leaving some players and staff injured.
This incident follows a series of similar violent events in Ghanaian football, including clashes involving Nsoatreman, Asante Kotoko, Elmina Sharks, and Swedru All Blacks.
It also comes just after the Ghana Football Association announced the resumption of the Premier League, which had been suspended due to the fatal stabbing incident during the Nsoatreman-Asante Kotoko match.
