Dear GhanaWeb,
Two years ago, I was dating a lady who won an American lottery. After that, she started acting distant and giving me attitude.
I later found out that while we were together, she was also seeing another guy.
A few months later, they got married. The man she married reached out to me, took my number from her, and called.
He told me that she had said I was nice to her, but she preferred him. I didn’t respond to him.
I wished them well and moved on with my life. Recently, she texted me, saying she wanted us to get back together. We started talking again, and she decided to come to Ghana.
At that time, I was in a relationship with another woman who was pregnant with my child. I chose not to tell her about my current relationship, just to see what her intentions were.
When we met at the airport, she started complaining about my outfit, even though her brother’s outfit was worse.
She then decided to stay at my place, but I told her I had moved to a new place and couldn’t host her because there was still a lot of work to be done. Instead, I booked an Airbnb for two days.
When we got in, we had dinner and we got talking. In the night, she told me how much she has missed me in bed.
She’s really feeling sex so we made out and she said it’s been a while she had a good sex like this. We ended up spending 3 weeks at different hotels with her paying the bills.
Things became cool between us again and she begged me never to leave her because she really loves me.
Because I knew I wouldn’t take her seriously again, I didn’t bother asking of her husband. Anytime her friends call, they will ask her whether she is getting enough sex. I heard telling one of her friends that, I know how to handle her in bed, the sex is good that’s why she hasn’t returned to the States yet.
The day before her departure, she was menstruating so I didn’t think of touching her but she begged me that she wanted to have sex.
According to her, when she leaves, she won’t find any man who will handle her the way I do.
I did everything for her happiness, even though it felt awkward. Now, I’m confused because of my woman at home.
All this time, I lied to her, telling her that I had been sent to a different region to supervise a project, when in reality, I was at home taking care of her and our child.
This flirting got so much into my head that my woman at home started to feel like an enemy. I found myself getting angry over things I normally wouldn’t.
When this lady went back to the States, I thought of surprising her with a shopping spree to repay her kindness. Her birthday was also coming up, so I asked her to send me a wishlist.
What she wrote was insane, and there’s no way I could have afforded everything on the list. So, I picked a few items and bought them for her.
But she didn’t appreciate it. She expected me to get everything on the list. I have a baby to take care of, so spending that much on her birthday just wasn’t possible. She stopped texting me, and if I didn’t text her first, I wouldn’t hear from her. That’s when I took a step back and reflected on how much I had hurt my woman, even though she never knew about the other lady. I asked for her forgiveness.
Just yesterday, the lady texted me asking for forgiveness, saying her friends had influenced her to get a man closer to her, and she listened to them.
Now, she regretted it, saying that even though I’m in Ghana, the things I did for her most Ghanaian men wouldn’t do. I didn’t respond to all her messages, and then she sent a large sum of money as compensation. I transferred the money back to her, telling her I didn’t need it.
I told her that letting her back into my life was a big mistake that nearly cost me my happiness. I’m happy with my woman and baby now, so I had to block her to find peace of mind. But now, I feel guilty about what I did to my woman.
I’m worried that she might find out one day, and I’m confused about whether to tell her myself or keep it a secret.
I honestly don’t want to lose her because she’s a good woman. What should I do now?
