ZondaTec Ghana, GWM introduce Haval H9 and Tank 500 vehicles to Ghanaian market

ZondaTec Ghana, in partnership with Great Wall Motors (GWM), has officially introduced the Haval H9 and Tank 500 SUVs to the Ghanaian market.

The unveiling event, held in Accra on February 20, 2025 showcased the advanced features, durability, and off-road capabilities of these premium vehicles, marking a significant milestone in Ghana’s automotive industry.

The Haval H9, renowned for its rugged performance and luxury features, offers a powerful 2.0L turbocharged engine, intelligent four-wheel drive, and a host of modern safety technologies. It is designed for both urban and off-road adventures, making it a versatile choice for Ghanaian drivers.

Meanwhile, the Tank 500 is a high-end, full-size SUV that combines luxury with unmatched off-road capabilities. Boasting a 3.0L V6 turbo engine, advanced driver assistance systems, and a sophisticated interior, the Tank 500 is tailored for both executive and adventure-seeking customers.

Delivering remarks at the event, Managing Director of ZondaTec Ghana, Madame Yang Yang highlighted the need for greater female participation in Ghana’s automotive industry.

She emphasized that empowering women in key leadership roles and policy-making would drive the growth of the sector while contributing to Ghana’s 24-hour economy initiative.

“We need to create opportunities for women in the automotive industry, from leadership to technical roles, ensuring they play a central role in shaping policies that enhance the sector’s growth,” Madame Yang Yang stated.

As part of its expansion strategy, ZondaTec Ghana and GWM also announced the opening of a new showroom on Spintex Road, Accra, aimed at providing customers with easier access to their range of vehicles and after-sales services.

This new facility is expected to enhance customer experience and further solidify ZondaTec Ghana’s position as a key player in the country’s automobile industry.

In a related development, Acting Chief Executive Officer Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), Simon Madjie, reassured investors that business permits would now be fast-tracked within 24 hours as part of efforts to make Ghana more business-friendly.

“Ghana is open for business and investment, and we are working to eliminate bureaucratic bottlenecks to ensure a seamless experience for investors,” Mr. Madjie said.

The Haval H9 and Tank 500 launch attracted car enthusiasts, industry experts, and potential buyers, who had the opportunity to experience the vehicles firsthand through live demonstrations and test drives.

ZondaTec Ghana and GWM reaffirmed their commitment to expanding their presence in Ghana while providing cutting-edge automotive solutions for individuals and businesses alike.
