Model dies in hospital with ‘cramps’ leaving fans in ‘shock’ as cause of death revealed

A Brazilian model and influencer has died after going to hospital with cramps

A fashion influencer has died after being admitted to the emergency room with severe cramping. Laleska Alexandre, a Brazilian model, died on Wednesday (February 5, 2025) in Juazeiro do Norte in Brazil after developing septic shock from an ovarian infection.

Her cousin told CNN Brasil that the 28-year-old had been admitted on the Sunday. She was transferred for emergency surgery but her condition was found to be at an advanced stage and she could not be saved.

Her condition was diagnosed as an ovarian infection as the result of a disease that predominantly affects sexually active women of reproductive age.

The condition, pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), according to the NHS, involves the most serious symptoms of severe pain in the tummy, a high temperature and feeling and being sick.

Mild symptoms can include pain during sex or when peeing, pain around the pelvis, or heavy or painful periods—in the wake of her death friends and fans among Laleska’s 26,000 followers on Instagram paid tribute to the digital creator.

They said she was a “faithful,” “determined” and “hard-working” girl who “never gave up” and “always tried her best”.

“I am in shock,” wrote one fan.” “May God comfort all her family and friends! Very sad!” said another.

Laleska was the CEO of marketing agency Agência Laleska Alexandre and clothing brands Loja a Vestiaire and La Brand Brasil.

Her last Instagram post was made on January 29, during which she offered exclusive image consulting to her fans.

She said she wanted to help “transform your look” and make women feel empowered.
