Techiman, (Bono East), Feb. 7, GNA – Eleven people are contesting the Council of State Elections in the Bono East Region, Dr Gabriel Dei Yeboah, the Bono East Regional Director of the Electoral Commission (EC), has said.
The Article 89 (1) of the 1992 Constitution enjoins the Council of State “to counsel the President in the performance of his functions.”
The elections are slated for Tuesday February 11, 2025.
In an interview with the media in Techiman, Dr Yeboah said all the contests were male, saying there were the only people who submitted their particulars for the elections after the close of nominations on Friday January 31.
He said the stakeholders had met and agreed to hold the elections at the Techiman Bononkyempem hall.
