Women’s AFCON 2025: GFA schedules TOUGH friendly match for Black Queens in Casablanca

The Ghana Football Association has scheduled a tough international friendly match for Ghana Black Queens in February.

The FA has arranged an international friendly match between Black Queens and Morocco on Friday, February 21 2025 at the Pere Jego Stadium in Casablanca.

This encounter is part of the February FIFA window and serves as a crucial preparation for the upcoming Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament in July.

The team, under the guidance of new head coach Kim Lars Björkegren, is focused on enhancing their performance and securing a positive result to boost their chances of advancing in the WAFCON.

The friendly also provides Coach Björkegren with an opportunity to assess the current squad and newly invited players. The Black Queens have been drawn into Group C of the WAFCON, alongside defending champions South Africa, Mali, and Tanzania.

With the tournament just around the corner, this friendly match against Morocco will be an essential gauge of the team’s readiness.
