The Member of Parliament for the Effutu Constituency in the Central Region of Ghana, Honorable Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has revealed that he is a prolific businessman who owns and operates several multi-million dollar companies.
Markin, who is the leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s minority caucus and ranking member on the Parliamentary Appointment Committee, revealed that he is very comfortable and rich due to the numerous businesses he owns which he started operating at a very young age.
He made these revelations during an appearance on Joy News whilst speaking with Emefa Apawu to explain away the claim that he purchased state lands which Hon Okudzeto Ablakwa levied against him.
Markin, who said he bought those lands over 25 years ago as a young man, told Emefa that he started running his own businesses as a very young man and that he has received over $15m in loans indicating exactly how successful and profitable his businesses are.
