The Kumasi Kejetia Queen Mothers Association has strongly opposed an alleged directive from the Kumasi Mayor, Samuel Pyne, to close the Kejetia Market on election day, December 7, 2024.In a statement, the Queen Mothers revealed that the closure was initially suggested by Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) running mate, during a meeting with them at the Kumasi Culture Centre.
