Popular Writer for the ruling NPP government, P.K Sarpong has lashed out the founder of Perez Chapel International, Bishop Agyin-Asare.
In a post shared on the official Facebook page of P.K Sarpong on 3rd December 2024, reads;
“Bishop Charles Agyin-Asare, to say that we are disappointed in you would be the biggest understatement of the century.
For someone who has been in the ministry of God for years, we expected something better from you than to put on your platform that Christians should not vote for a Muslim to lead Ghana.
Sir, there is nothing Godly about your call on your colleague pastors and members of your church not to support a Muslim to become the President of the Republic of Ghana.This is intolerance of the highest degree and a man of God worth the salt would never engage in such divisive politics.
You are NDC, Sir, that’s your right to belong to that party. If you had campaigned to your colleague pastors to support your party for reasons other than religious beliefs, we wouldn’t have had any issues with you.
To ask your colleagues to reject Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia because of being a Muslim is the lowest ebb a man of God of your caliber could go to.”
P.K Sarpong did not mince words and asserted that Agyin-Asare have betrayed his own faith in the word of God. He added that God is not divisive.
“Don’t you believe in unity in diversity? What is Bawumia’s crime for being a Muslim? Hasn’t he been the Vice President for the past eight years and still practicing his Islamic faith? Has he done anything bad with his Islamic beliefs? No! So why do you discriminate against him? ” PK Sarpong bombarded Bishop Agyin-Asare with these questions.
He added that for years, they have been worshipping the Bishop for the work of God he does not knowing that he is that carnal.
“You are essentially telling the Muslims in your party, the thousands or millions of people of Islam who support and vote for your party that they’re not humans enough.
Muslims should vote for your Mahama so that he becomes president for you to get juicy deals but you abhor one of their own being elected President of Ghana? Osofo, where in your Bible did you learn this from? I am hugely disappointed, Bishop Charles Agyin-Asare! ” P.K Sarpong blatantly added.
