Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, founder of the collapsed GN Bank and former presidential candidate, has advised the general public to vote out the incumbent NPP party for collapsing the banks and rendering a lot of them jobless.
In a passionate address in a recent interview on Onua TV, he urged Ghanaians to hold the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government accountable for what he describes as a politically motivated decision that crippled his financial institution, resulting in widespread unemployment and the erosion of investor confidence.
According to Dr. Nduom, GN Bank’s closure left over 300 branches across Ghana locked and thousands of employees without jobs. The bank, which was instrumental in financial inclusion efforts by reaching underserved areas, was abruptly shut down amid allegations of liquidity crises. Dr. Nduom claims these crises were artificially induced by the government’s failure to honour its financial obligations to the bank.
Dr. Nduom implored citizens to reflect on these actions as they prepare to cast their votes in the upcoming elections on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
