The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has released details of the centres for the Special Voting for the 2024 general elections, scheduled for Monday, December 2, 2024.

The Special Voting will be held at 328 centres across the country.

One hundred thirty-one thousand four hundred seventy-eight voters are expected to participate in Monday’s Special Voting ahead of the main election day – Saturday, December 7, 2024.

Special Voting is designed for eligible voters who will not be able to vote at their registered polling stations because of roles they are expected to perform on Election Day.

This provision primarily covers personnel from various security services, the media, and public service sectors.

The persons who are expected to vote on Monday include personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces, the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB), National Security, Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana National Fire Service, and the Information Services Department.

The others are members of the National Ambulance Service, Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority, Prisons Service, Ghana Journalists Association, Ghana Police Service, and the National Media Commission.
