The Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, has once again found himself at the center of controversy after accusing Brigadier General Michael Opoku of training thugs to rig the December 7 elections in favor of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
However, Sammy Gyamfi’s failure to prov ide concrete evidence to support his claims has raised eyebrows, sparking concerns about his credibility.
This is not the first time Sammy Gyamfi has made similar allegations.
In 2020, he claimed that thugs were being trained at Asutuare to intimidate NDC supporters, but these claims were never substantiated.
Additionally, Sammy Gyamfi threatened police and military leadership, stating that their jobs were tied to President Akufo-Addo’s tenure and that they would be dealt with mercilessly if the NDC came to power.
Sammy Gyamfi’s recent accusations have been met with skepticism, with many questioning his motives and credibility.
Critics point to his history of baseless allegations, which have been repeatedly debunked.
Lack of Evidence
Speaking on Joy News, when pressed to provide evidence to support his latest claims, Sammy Gyamfi failed to deliver, leaving many to wonder if these allegations are nothing more than a desperate attempt to discredit the NPP.
The NDC’s reputation has been marred by Sammy Gyamfi’s consistent false alarms, and it remains to be seen how this will impact their chances in the upcoming elections.
