After his electrifying two-week our of the Ashanti Region, Vice President and Presidential Candidate of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has returned to north.

Dr. Bawumia started his constituency-focused tour in the Northern Region in July, and since then, he has toured almost all constituencies in the sixteen regions.

Just as he left in July, Dr. Bawumia returned, to a tumultuous welcome today, as he toured three constituencies in the Northern Region; Kumbungu, Tolon and Tamale South.

Dr. Started in Kumbungu, a constituency that traditionally votes NDC, but Dr. Bawumia pulled a large crowd that would send shivers down the spines of their opponents.

From there, he moved to Tolon, when the NPP has been comfortably winning in the past two elections. As the Constituency of Deputy Majority Chief Whip, Habib Iddrisu, Tolon proved why it is now a safe zone for the NPP in both the Presidential and Parliamentary election.

The crowd was massive and ecstatic, with many describing it as the biggest political gathering in the area in recent times.

From there, Dr. Bawumia moved to the regional capital, Tamale, specifically Tamale South. Over there too, the crowd was very massive, and one would have wondered whether it was indeed a constituency held by the NDC.

Throughout Dr. Bawumia rounds in the north today, one thing was quiet obvious, that he is very popular among the people.

In his interaction with community leaders and the people, Dr. Bawumia has been sharing his vision and policies to transform Ghana, while also reminding them of how his main opponent, former President Mahama, also from the north, got his chance and disappointed both the north and the nation.

Dr. Bawumia is expected to continue with his tour of the north tomorrow.
