At least John Mahama did something

Chairman Wontumi has started new talks after saying the old Kumasi Airport built when John Mahama was president looked like a kitchen. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, who everyone knows as Chairman Wontumi, said this while talking to Serwaa Amihere on GhOne TV.

While on TV, Wontumi spoke his mind clearly. His exact words were: “The Kumasi airport Mahama built was like a kitchen.” He went on to say good things about how Akufo-Addo’s government has made the airport much better, saying they’ve done more than what Mahama ever promised to do for the Ashanti Region.

People on social media have been busy sharing what they think about this. Some people say Wontumi is being too harsh, while others think he’s right about how much better the airport is now.

On social media, someone called PY Samuelson wrote: “Aget problem plus the person wae dey interview am.” Another person, Calusha, saw things differently and said: “At least John Mahama did something before leaving.” Making light of the situation, DHAT GUY posted: “Wontumi n obinim wen dey meet for English lessons.”

This whole thing has made people start talking again about what different governments have done for Ghana. While some people are happy with how the current government has improved the airport, others think it’s wrong to say bad things about what was done before.

When Wontumi called the old airport a “kitchen,” he made people start talking more about how Ghana’s airports have changed over time. His words have brought back old arguments about which government has helped the Ashanti Region more.

This kind of argument between people in politics about who did better work happens a lot in Ghana. Some think these comparisons are good because they show how things have gotten better, but others say they just make people fight for no reason.

The story isn’t just about an airport anymore – now it’s about how people look at development in Ghana and who should get praise for doing what. As more and more people share what they think online, the talk keeps getting bigger, showing that Ghanaians really care about how their country is developing.
