The latest development in the political landscape ahead of the upcoming elections has left many stunned, as Hajia Sinare, wife of Alhaji Said Sinare, a member of the Opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC has been caught on video making tribal comments.
In the video trending on social media, Hajia Sinare urges all Gonjas to vote for John Mahama solely because he is a Gonja.
Interestingly, the Opposition party is moving around condemning Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, NPP, for being a Muslim, as they are making tribal comments against him.
The comment by Hajia Sinare has sparked outrage, with many condemning her remarks as divisive and irresponsible.
This isn’t the first time the Sinare family has been embroiled in controversy. Alhaji Sinare has been known for his loose talk against the NPP Presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
However, Hajia Sinare’s comments have taken tribal politics to a new low.
Recently, the Second Lady Samira Bawumia has also spoken out against the NDC’s tribalistic posture, urging Ghanaians to reject divisive politics.
