Management at HavenCrest Christian School is deeply concerned about the rising cases of breast cancer.
To address this, they organised a community float aimed at raising awareness, educating the public, and encouraging regular breast checks for early detection.
Both male and females were urged to take proactive steps in preventing the impact of breast cancer on lives.
The school’s management and students took to the streets of Kumasi, carrying placards with messages highlighting the dangers of breast cancer and the importance of regular check-ups.
They encouraged parents to prioritize their health, especially their breast care.
Lady Pastor Henrietta Adom Nkansah, CEO of HavenCrest Christian School, emphasised the importance of involving children in breast cancer education. She noted that children can play a vital role by reminding and encouraging their parents to pay attention to this health issue.
“Educating children about breast health is essential because they will one day grow into adults. Starting this knowledge early makes it easier to address breast health challenges in the future,” she said.
Pastor Nkansah explained, “We want children to understand that breast cancer is not only a concern for the older generation or mothers. Having this knowledge now is valuable. Our students are doing well with the education, and they are even sharing this information with their friends, explaining that early detection can reduce impact and save lives.”
She stressed that breast health education is a responsibility for everyone, noting, “If we all get involved in raising awareness, together we can help save lives.”
