Midde-aged Half-Naked Couple Found Dead in Accra Lodging; Workers Speak

According to the video posted by CITI FM today Tuesday, Police in Accra have launched an investigation into the mysterious deaths of a middle-aged couple, who were found half-dressed and unresponsive in their hotel room on Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred in a well-known lodging facility in the Osu area.

According to reports from the Ghana Police Service, the couple checked in early Monday morning and appeared in good health at the time of their registration.

They were received by the receptionist on duty, identified as Lydia Mensah, who reportedly saw no unusual signs as they made their way to the room.

Hours later, by the late afternoon, Lydia noticed that the couple had not checked out as expected.

“I became worried when I realized they had been in the room for nearly 14 hours without a sound,” Lydia explained. “I tried knocking several times, but there was no response. That’s when I informed the manager.”

Following Lydia’s alert, the hotel manager decided to contact authorities from the Osu Police Station, who promptly arrived on the scene.

Officers knocked on the door but received no answer, leading them to force their way in. Once inside, they discovered the couple’s bodies, partially clothed and unresponsive.

“This is truly heartbreaking,” said Chief Inspector Kwesi Aboagye, one of the officers involved in the investigation. “The couple showed no visible signs of struggle or injury, which makes the situation even more perplexing. We are currently treating this as a suspicious death until the investigation is completed.”

Although the identities of the two individuals have not yet been made public, early reports suggest that they might have been drugged before they retired to bed.

The police, however, have not ruled out other possible causes and are awaiting the results of forensic tests to determine exactly what transpired.

The case has now been referred to the Homicide Unit of the Ghana Police Service, which is expected to take over the investigation once the initial forensic assessments are concluded.

Forensic experts are currently working to analyze any substances found at the scene and are hopeful that the results will provide insights into this tragic and baffling case.
