NDC won’t tolerate intimidation in elections – Ashanti Regional Chairman

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Augustus Andrews Nana Kwasi, says the party will not tolerate any form of intimidation before, during and after the December general elections.

Addressing a rally at Obuasi on Wednesday during the Ashanti Regional campaign tour of NDC vice presidential candidate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the Ashanti Regional NDC Chairman said the party has a robust plan to protect its votes in the 2024 elections.

He therefore urged NDC members and supporters to turn up in their numbers on election day and vote massively for NDC presidential candidate Mr John Dramani Mahama and the party’s parliamentary candidates.

Commenting on abandoned development projects in the region, Nana Kwasi said the next NDC government will collaborate with traditional authorities to promote development in the region.

He said women empowerment is also very high on the agenda of the next NDC administration. Nana Kwasi added that the lofty plans of the development plan of the NDC for the Ashanti Region can only come to fruition when the region people in the region vote for the party.

He therefore urged the electorate to vote massively for Mr Mahama to enable him to reset the country, create jobs for the youth and empower women financially through the establishment of a Women’s Development Bank.
