Ghanaian-US based media personality, Kelvin Taylor, has ignited a firestorm on social media with a provocative warning directed at one of Ghana’s esteemed female Supreme Court judges. During his show, Taylor claimed that one of the five female justices—Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey Torkornoo, Justice Mariama Owusu, Justice Lovelace Johnson, Justice Prof. Henrietta Joy Abena Nyarko Mensah-Bonsu, or Justice Barbara F. Ackah-Yensu—has been involved in a secret relationship with a married man who is 15 years her junior. Taylor insists that unless this unnamed judge comes forward by November 11 to “answer eight questions” and resign, he will publicly reveal details of the alleged affair.
In his broadcast, Taylor claimed to possess evidence in the form of videos, photos, and text messages that substantiate his accusations. He outlined his questions, addressing the alleged interactions between the judge and the married man, identified only by the name Emmanuel, a businessman linked to the milk industry in Ghana. According to Taylor, Emmanuel, whose birthday is on March 31, was allegedly involved in a divorce and had received legal assistance from the judge. Taylor further inquired as to why the judge, who he claims is a devout Christian and married, frequently stayed overnight at McCarthy Hill and left the man’s house in the early hours.
Taylor also questioned the judge’s relationship with a certain Member of Parliament, suggesting they meet at a location near Swiss School. He implied that the judge’s connection with Emmanuel extends beyond a casual friendship and challenges her to publicly clarify the nature of their relationship.
The outspoken media personality emphasized that his motive is to ensure accountability for public figures in positions of power, particularly those who represent Ghana’s highest courts. He underscored that the country’s leaders should adhere to the standards they expect of others, especially in matters of personal integrity. Taylor’s ultimatum has ignited public interest and spurred conversations about ethics and transparency within Ghana’s judiciary.
