Parents flock to Accra placement centre amid SHS enrollment concerns

Hundreds of parents and guardians with concerns about their wards’ Senior High School (SHS) placements have flocked to the placement centre in Accra, seeking resolutions despite schools reopening nationwide.

First-year Senior High Schools reopened on Wednesday, October 31, amid public protests claiming the process was rushed, leaving families insufficient time to prepare.

Some frustrated parents and students shared their grievances in an interview with Citi News.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Coordinator at the Free Senior High School (SHS) Secretariat, Nana Afrah Sika Mensah, has advised affected individuals to remain patient, assuring them that their issues will be addressed.

She also urged vigilance to avoid falling prey to fraudsters.
