Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh canvases for votes for NPP in Western North Region

By Alex Baah Boadi

Sefwi-Wiawso (WN/R), Oct 31, GNA- Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate for the NPP has called on residents in Western North Region, to consider the infrastructure provided in the area by the government and vote for the party.

According to him, the Region had seen massive improvement since its creation and therefore urged the residents to reciprocate the gesture by retaining the NPP in the December polls.

Dr Opoku Prempeh said these when he rounded up a three-day tour in the region which took him to Chirano in the Bibiani -Anhwiaso- Bekwai, Wiawso and Nsawora in the Akontombra constituencies.

He lauded the constituents for supporting the New Patriotic Party and urged them to remain loyal to it to benefit from more development projects.

At separate rallies in Bodi, Aowin, Juaboso, Suaman, Bia West and East Constituencies, Dr Prempeh reminded residents about the numerous development and opportunities being enjoyed by the people of Bibiani, Wiawso and Akontombra constituencies since they voted for NPP Members of Parliament.

He encouraged residents in Constituencies that did not have incumbent NPP Members of Parliament to change their voting pattern and emulate what the Bibiani- Anhwiaso- Bekwai constituency did in 2004 followed by Akontombra and Wiawso in 2016 by voting for Dr Bawumia and NPP member of Parliament for the first time to enable them to also receive some development projects.

Dr Kwaku Afriyie, Member of Parliament for Wiawso who was part of the team asked residents to consider the development projects the region had benefitted since the NPP came to power and vote for the NPP adding, “NPP is the party which has brought much development to the area than any political party in the fourth republic.”

He mentioned the Agenda 111 projects at Bodi, Dadieso and Adabokrom, completion of Asawinso hospital, construction of Amafie, Nsuansua Roads, Benchema Barrier to Adjoafua road and Zipline medical drone at Aboboya among others as some of the many developmental projects provided by the government and asked residents to vote based on development projects initiated by the government in the last Eight years.

Dr Prempeh was met by enthusiastic party supporters in all the nine Constituencies he visited.

He was accompanied by Mr Benjamin Armah, the regional chair, Mrs Golly Antwi Bosiako, Women’s Organizer and Mr Felix Foster Ackaah, Regional Secretary, and other big wigs of the party in the region.
