Chaos Erupts After NPP MP Enters Parliament Chamber Before Start Time To Cause Fight

Hon. Kwame Agbodza, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the AdaKlu Constituency, has expressed frustration over the behavior of Hon. Annoh Dompreh, the MP for Nsawam, who entered the Parliament chamber ahead of the official start time and occupied the majority side of the house.

According to reports, Hon. Agbodza raised concerns during a heated exchange, accusing the NPP MP of disrupting parliamentary procedures by prematurely claiming a seat on the majority side as articulated on X.

The incident, which was captured on video and shared by Adom FM, saw Agbodza visibly upset as he confronted Dompreh, who appeared to have ignored the usual protocol regarding seating arrangements.

The NDC MP’s actions reflect the heightened tensions between the two major parties, especially in the wake of recent parliamentary disagreements.

While the NPP maintains control over the majority, the NDC has continuously challenged the legitimacy of some parliamentary practices, fueling the ongoing political rivalry.

The altercation, though brief, has added to the controversy surrounding the workings of Ghana’s Parliament. Both MPs have yet to make formal statements regarding the incident, but the video has sparked discussions on social media about decorum and discipline in parliamentary affairs.

The parliamentary leadership has not yet responded to the claims, leaving questions about how the situation will be addressed in the coming days.

As the legislature prepares for further deliberations, it remains to be seen whether this incident will lead to any official disciplinary action or changes to parliamentary conduct.
