I Am Your Teacher; Lawyer Martin Kpebu Says And Schools Former Student On Live TV

There was a bit of drama on TV3 this morning when Lawyer Martin Kpebu and an NPP lawyer met on the *Key Points* show. The NPP lawyer happens to be a former student of Lawyer Martin Kpebu.

During the discussion, the NPP lawyer attempted to correct a statement made by Martin Kpebu. This offended Lawyer Martin Kpebu, who responded by saying that since he had taught him in law school, if he had been a bad teacher, the NPP lawyer wouldn’t have passed. He added that he knows the law very well, even better than the NPP lawyer.

“Ah Asefua, me I taught you law and you are coming to teach me. You are my student and you are now going to teach me law. If I was that bad I am not sure you would have passed” he said.

Today’s discussion on TV3 was about the the recent brouhaha in parliament where both NPP and NDC are claiming to be the majority in parliament. NPP sent the case to the coury ruled the Speaker of Parliament’s decision to declare four seats vacant is being put in hold.

Martin Kpebu was questioning the speed at which the Supreme Court ruled on a case about four vacant parliamentary seats. He believes the Court rushed its decision, which could create problems for the country. The case involves a ruling by Speaker Alban Bagbin, who declared four seats vacant in Parliament. The Supreme Court paused this decision, allowing the four Members of Parliament to keep their seats for now.

Kpebu is concerned that the Court acted too quickly and that this could lead to trouble. Other lawyers have also expressed worry about the impact of the decision. The case is ongoing, and the final ruling will be made later.

The NPP lawyer, responded to Martin Kpebu by saying that he was not trying to correct him but Martin Kpebu failed to follow the sequence in Parliament.

“I did not say you don’t know the law. What I am saying is that you did not follow the sequence in Parliament,” he said.
