NPP’s ‘Juju’ Accuser Now Begs for Mercy

A young man who previously claimed that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) hired him and his associates to use juju (black magic) to instigate violence during the upcoming 2024 elections has publicly asked for forgiveness. A video of his earlier claims went viral, capturing the attention of many Ghanaians and sparking discussions about political violence.

In the initial video, the young man, dressed in a military camouflage top, made bold allegations against the NPP. He claimed that the party had recruited him to prepare for violent acts. “NPP has taken us to Juju to fight,” he said, expressing his discontent with the party’s tactics. He went on to state, “If you bring the money, we will collect it, but we will not vote for you,” implying that financial incentives from the party would not guarantee their support in the elections. He concluded with a strong warning, “This year, 2024, on December 7, we will see.”

However, the recent developments have left the young man feeling anxious. Fearing potential repercussions from law enforcement and backlash from the public, he has now released a new video, where he begs for forgiveness. In this heartfelt plea, he acknowledged the consequences of his previous statements. “I posted a video of me burning the NPP T-shirt, and I claimed they gave us money; I know my video last time trended,” he admitted, clearly distressed by the attention his earlier remarks had garnered.

He further expressed his regret, stating, “People have been calling me, texting me; please, I beg for forgiveness. If you stand by that to jail me, I have no one to support me.” The young man’s plea reflects his fear of being arrested and the consequences of his actions. He added, “I don’t even know what came over me.”

As Ghanaians prepare for the upcoming elections, it is crucial for political leaders and their supporters to promote peace and unity, ensuring a safe environment for all voters.
