Floods trap residents in Darkuman and Amomole; Fire Service launches rescue operations


Residents of Darkuman Official Town are currently facing a dire situation as heavy rains have left many trapped in their homes.

The Ghana National Fire Service has dispatched a crew from its Headquarters Sub Station to provide assistance and rescue those in distress.

In a similar incident, the Anyaa Fire Station is actively engaged in rescue efforts for residents stranded in Amomole due to severe flooding, a Facebook statement said.

Crews are on the ground, rendering essential services and ensuring the safety of those affected.

As the rains continue, authorities urge residents to remain safe and avoid unnecessary travel.

The Ghana National Fire Service has reiterated its commitment to assisting those in need, emphasizing the importance of contacting their control room at 192 or 030 2772446 for help.

Residents are advised to stay indoors and take precautionary measures during this challenging weather, as the Fire Service works diligently to address the ongoing flooding situation.
