Samira Bawumia, the wife of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has rallied residents of the Asante Akyem North Constituency to vote for the NPP in the December elections.

Speaking to a gathering of chiefs on her campaign tour of the constituency, Mrs. Bawumia said they will play key roles in the development of the country if Dr. Bawumia wins the December 7 election and becomes president, adding that her husband has good plans for the revered traditional leaders.

According to her, Dr. Bawumia has plans to introduce policies that will make it possible for traditional leaders to become more recognised and useful to the country.

Mrs. Bawumia stated that the NPP presidential candidate believes that chiefs have better ideas to help in accelerating national growth, so he would give them chance to operate.

“In the incoming Dr. Bawumia NPP administration, our revered chiefs would be officially recognised as development partners so their expertise would be felt.

“Dr. Bawumia believes that if our chiefs are given more opportunities and roles to play in the governance of our country, definitely our progress would be expedited,” she said.

She also said more jobs would be created by the next NPP government to reduce unemployment.

“More jobs are coming,” she announced, attracting wild applause from the enthusiastic crowd, who were happy about her statement.

Mrs. Bawumia also said nursing and teacher trainee allowances would be secured under the next NPP administration, urging the electorate to vote massively for the NPP.

Aside the nursing and teacher trainee allowances being protected and secured, she said her husband’s government also has good policies to better their lives.

“Taking it a step further, because you work hard to help Ghana to transform, Bawumia government will introduce a policy for teachers and health workers to be assisted by government to buy cars.

“For prosperity and Ghana’s advancement, vote number one for Dr. Bawumia and all the NPP parliamentary candidates on December 7,” Samira appealed to the crowd.
