A manhunt has been launched for a suspect captured on video brandishing a weapon during violent clashes between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Mamobi in Accra.
The suspect, known by the alias “Fatau Motorway,” is being sought in connection with the clashes between NPP and the NDC.
His image has been released by the police, and authorities are calling on the public to assist with any credible information that could lead to his arrest.
In a public appeal, the police have stressed that they are conducting an intelligence-led operation to apprehend Fatau Motorway and others involved in the violence.
The Police Service is urging all citizens to cooperate in this effort to bring the culprits to justice and maintain peace and order.
This action is part of the police’s broader crackdown on political violence ahead of the 2024 elections, aimed at ensuring security and enforcing the law across the country.
