Momentum displayed by political parties and presidential candidates towards campaign is increasing as we approach the polls on December to choose Ghana’s next president. So many policies and promises from various political parties and presidential candidates have been welcomed by Ghanaians for some months now as active campaigns are still underway. The New Patriotic Party is looking forward to “break the eight” whereas the National Democratic Congress looks forward to resetting the country’s economy. The other remaining eleven political parties and independent candidates are also looking forward to break the two-way party power the country has observed over the last three decades.

Flag-bearer of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama currently has made a stop in Northern Ghana to proceed with his campaign activities. The former president claim with his experience as a president, he will be able to reset the economy to default just like when he was the president. His special advisor, Joyce Bawah shared via her official twitter page some notable comments made by the flag-bearer during his campaign speech at his current stop.
“I appeal to the young ones of this country, do not lose hope”, he stated. Mahama in several occasions has made it clear especially on his strong urge to create massive employment opportunities for the youth. This led to the introduction of the popular 24-hours economy proposed by the flag-bearer. This appeal has received some sort of backlash as some concerned citizens still do not have faith in the former president. Find below some comments I gathered from the post.
