Black Stars to depart for Libya on Sunday for Sudan return encounter

The Black Stars will set off from Ghana on Sunday for Libya to prepare for their crucial second-leg match against Sudan.

As part of their campaign in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, the senior national team faced a doubleheader against the Falcons.

Following a challenging start, the Black Stars aimed to clinch their first victory against Sudan, but the first leg ended in a 0-0 draw at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, despite their dominating performance.

This result has intensified the pressure on head coach Otto Addo and his squad, leaving them in third place in Group F with only two points.

However, the team is eager to secure their first win in the upcoming second leg on Tuesday.

Before their departure on Sunday, the players will hold their final training session on Saturday, October 12, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Upon arrival in Libya, they will conduct their mandatory training at the Martyrs of February Stadium on Monday, ahead of the fourth matchday clash on Tuesday afternoon.
