Northern Ocean (NOL), under a strategic alliance agreement, will provide the Deepsea Bollsta semisub to Springfield Group for the planned Afina 1x well test offshore Ghana.
The terms of the alliance include exclusivity on a potential long-term field development program in Ghana that could get underway in mid-2025, depending on a firm agreement.
The well test, likely to last between 30 and 35 days, is due to start in the current quarter.
NOL CEO Arne Jacobsen said, “Although it is short-term work, it brings the Deepsea Bollsta back in operation earlier than anticipated… This demonstrates that NOL’s superior assets combined with Odfjell Drilling’s operation is a very attractive solution for our clients.”
