Pope Skinny and Shatta Wale
Pope Skinny has acknowledged the significant role Shatta Wale played in his life during their friendship.
During an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM, Pope Skinny reflected on his former friend.
“I learned confidence from Shatta Wale,” he said, adding that he also learned how to make good money and practice financial prudence from him. “Shatta Wale saves a lot of money,” Pope Skinny stated.
Pope Skinny also addressed rumours that Shatta Wale bought him a Mercedes Benz.
“I bought the Benz myself. We went to NAM1’s show, and during an interview, Shatta Wale announced that we had welcomed a new Benz into the family, he didn’t say he bought it for me. Then someone shared a headline that ‘Shatta Wale buys Benz for Pope Skinny,” he explained.
Pope Skinny admitted that he misses their friendship and regrets how their relationship has soured.
He also lamented how Shatta Wale is often painted as a villain simply because he is outspoken.
“Because Shatta [Wale] is outspoken, he is often painted as the villain, and his words and intentions are frequently misconstrued.” He will not attack you unless you provoke him,” he said.
