Terrible Clash In Western Region; Angry Youth In Wassa Chase Chinese Nationals From Their Land

The fight against Galamsey is taking dimension in Ghana currently. The latest update from UTV Ghana confirmed the terrible clash between the angry youth of Sekyere Krobo in the Wasa East municipal fighting a group of Chinese nationals over illegal mining (galamsey).
The youth of Sekyere Krobo have taken the fight into their own hands and will not let the government intervene because they are suffering for bad consequences of illegal mining in their communities. According to the story, a group of Chinese nationals with a few men from Ghana, have invaded the forest zone of Wasa East municipal with machines all in the name of digging for gold.
The youth at Wasa municipality shared their concerns with UTV stating that, there is a need to preserve their water bodies and other natural resources. In short, they will not allow foreigners to come, and their forest and their water bodies.
