The High Court yesterday admitted 21 Democracy Hub protestors to GH¢70,000 bail with two sureties each.
Nine of them were granted bail by Justice Comfort Tasiame, while the other 12 were admitted to bail by Justice Ayittey Armah-Tetteh.
Those granted bail by Justice Tasiame were Elorm Ababio also known as Ama Governor, Emmanuel Gyan, Emmanuel Kwabena Addo, ZiblimYakubu, Oheneba Prempeh.
The rest were Philip Owusu Kobina, Akisibik Desmond, Von Coffie and Sadik Yakubu.
Those granted bail by Justice Armah-Tetteh include Felicity Nelson, Cedric Bansah, Michael Amofa, Emmanuel Ofei, NiiAyi, and Fred Boateng.
The others were Iddrisu Yusif, also known as Deportee, Wendell Yeboah, Samuel Samakor, Nana Amo Mensah Prempeh and Thomas Yeboah.
As part of the bail condition, the accused were ordered to report to the police once every week until the final determination of the case.
The accused are part of 53 others who organised the Democracy Hub Demonstration which took place in Accra from September 21 -23.
Meanwhile, the court has denied Oliver Barker-Vormawor bail and directed the prosecution to start the prosecution of Mawusi Oliver Barker-Vormawor at the Accra Circuit Court within 72 hours.
In denying him bail, Justice Armah-Tetteh took into consideration that Barker Vormawor, one of the leaders of the Democracy Hub, was already out on bail for treason felony charges when he allegedly committed new offences during the protest.
His counsel, Dr Justice Srem-Sai Sai, told the court that his client was not a flight risk and would avail himself to stand trial.
The fact according to the prosecution is that the accused was part of a group of protesters.
