Bullgod’s three bold statements against Akufo-Addo and appointees trigger reactions online

Following his previous arrest for comments against President Akufo-Addo and his administration, many believed Bullgod would be more cautious in his criticisms. However, that hasn’t been the case.

The popular artiste manager and ardent critic of the NPP was arrested by the BNI in 2021 for allegedly threatening President Akufo-Addo live on UTV’s United Showbiz.

In his recent appearance on the same platform, Bullgod has made some bold statements once again that have raised concerns.

He has heavily slammed the Akufo-Addo administration, which he claims is saddled with corruption, labeling it the worst in Ghana’s history, and warned that they should prepare for jail time.

Bullgod has stated that President Akufo-Addo and his appointees should renovate Nsawam prison, where he believes they would end up after leaving office.

“Starting from Nana Akufo-Addo to all the presidential staffers, I am giving you a job and the job is very simple; you see the three months that are left, if you know what is good for you, go and renovate Nsawam. Go and renovate Nsawam because that is where you will spend the rest of your life.

“If they want to be comfortable in prison, this is the time for them to renovate the prisons because they would be charged for their corrupt practices and involvement in galamsey,” he said.

In another submission on the show, Bullgod questioned why the President’s executive secretary, Nana Asante Bediatuo, who is currently ill, wasn’t treated at one of the ‘so-called’ hospitals built under the President’s Agenda 111 project.

He lamented how government officials seek medical care abroad because they do not trust the very systems they claim to have improved.

“He is currently in the U.S., right? Why not fly him back to Ghana for treatment? He’s stable, so let’s bring him home. Do they not trust the Ghanaian medical system?” he asked.

He continued, “If their so-called 100 hospitals under Agenda 111 are operational, why aren’t they using them? Why not take him to Korle-Bu or 37? These people think they can punish the citizens, but they will be affected too.”

Bullgod further emphasised, “If you live in a nice neighbourhood while others are in slums, one day they’ll rise against you. If you don’t share your riches, they will share their poverty with you.”

In his comments on Obaapa Christy’s ex-husband’s inability to demonstrate wisdom during his court ordeal, Bullgod took another jab at the president and his appointees.

“Pastor Love failed to apply wisdom in his court situation. Wisdom is rare and unfortunately, it’s not learnt in schools. If wisdom were learnt in schools, this current government would lead with more sense This government’s leaders were the ones who attended Ivy league schools, Yale university and so on, they would’ve been sensible in their leadership,” he retorted.

Bullgod arrested for threatening President Akufo-Addo

In 2021, Bullgod was charged with offensive conduct and breach of peace after threatening the president.

Following a lengthy detention, an Accra Circuit Court fined him GH¢48,000 for ‘offensive’ comments regarding President Akufo-Addo and the ponzi scheme, Menzgold.

Bullgod was on record to have said that President Nana Akufo-Addo will not finish his four-year tenure if he failed to pay Menzgold customers.

In his defence, Bullgod insisted that his comments were not meant to threaten the president or disrupt the peace but were an appeal to the president’s conscience to assist Menzgold customers.
