Bawumia Will Win With 50.9% And It Will Shock Everyone

In a bold statement that contradicts many recent surveys, Ernest Owusu-Bempah, the Deputy National Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has predicted that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will secure a first-round victory in the upcoming presidential election with 50.9% of the votes. Despite polls pointing to a win for former President John Dramani Mahama, Owusu-Bempah believes that the dynamics of the 2024 elections favor the NPP’s candidate, Bawumia.

Owusu-Bempah, who has played a significant role in Ghanaian politics, shared his confidence during an interview on Onua FM’s “Yen Nsempa” show on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Speaking with hosts Nana Yaa Brefo and JB, he revealed that his long-standing experience in the political landscape, including his close association with two Ghanaian Presidents and former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, enables him to understand when a candidate is on the path to victory.

“I’ve had the privilege to work with two Presidents, and I’ve spent a lot of time around the former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, who is well-versed in Ghana’s political game. From my experience, I can tell when a candidate is going to win or lose, and I believe Dr. Bawumia will win this election with 50.9% of the votes,” Owusu-Bempah said.

He admitted that the 2024 elections will be highly competitive but assured that the NPP will shock the nation with their win. He stated that once the results start coming in, many Ghanaians will be surprised by the outcome. “This election is not going to be easy, but Ghanaians will witness a huge surprise. When the results start coming in, it will shock everybody. The NPP will win this election with a one-touch victory,” he confidently predicted.

Owusu-Bempah also acknowledged that there are various dynamics at play in the 2024 elections. According to him, these dynamics differ from past elections and will work in favor of the NPP. He urged Ghanaians to be patient and watch the results unfold, insisting that Bawumia’s victory is inevitable.

The NPP Deputy Communications Director’s remarks come at a time when several survey houses, including Global InfoAnalytics, have predicted a win for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, John Dramani Mahama. However, Owusu-Bempah dismissed these predictions, emphasizing his faith in the NPP’s campaign strategy and Bawumia’s popularity among the electorate.
